Eat & Drink
The harbourside restaurants and bars at the Sydney Opera House are perfectly positioned with plenty of outdoor heaters for prime viewing of the Sails and Sydney Harbour.
Taking inspiration from the iconic Sails, our menus will focus on offering a range of locally sourced Australian produce. Beat the crowds and secure a position early in the afternoon at Opera Kitchen or Opera Bar or dine underneath the sails at Bennelong or Portside Sydney.
Peter Gilmore’s Cured & Cultured menu at Bennelong celebrates the abundant flavours and diversity of Australian produce. No better dish highlights this more than the locally sourced Red claw yabbies from Mandandanji country in South West Queensland. Served with lemon jam, cultured cream and buckwheat pikelets – it’s Australian produce at its best.
With a warm and welcoming atmosphere and million-dollar views, there is no better place to soak up the Vivid atmosphere. All menus have been designed by Matt Moran with an emphasis on Australian produce, including produce from his very own farm. Drop in for a bite, your taste buds will thank you.
As the lights come on, Portside Sydney’s heaters will turn up, ready to serve winter warmers featuring a selection of award-winning NSW wine and produce, carefully curated by Chef Lauren Murdoch. Enjoy the choice of either a NSW Entrée & NSW Main or NSW Main & NSW Dessert, coupled with a NSW wine, tea or coffee for $55 per person, while soaking up the spectacular harbour views.
Warm up with Opera Kitchen’s exclusive offer for Vivid Sydney. Indulge in Dukkah Lamb Cutlets served with a glass of SA Alternatus Tempranillo for only $30.
